Since 1997 Michael Johles, owner of LA SHEAR has been working with top hair stylists in the Los Angeles area, supplying them with the finest Shears and Tools. Company History LA SHEAR is a 2nd generation company. Originally started in 1969 by his father’s company, MAX JOHLES beauty Supply. Max went around to salons around Los Angeles from 1969-2000; Selling your basic salon supplies, & bringing clothes to sell at the salons for the clients & hairdressers Max was a legend for his hard work and eccentric character. Ask any stylist who worked around L.A. around 69-2000 and they will remember him. Max’s integrity and work ethic was handed down to his son Michael who started his own company in 1997 to service salons. Today La Shear is one hottest young distribution companies in the So Cal salon scene. Michael’s brother Aaron Johles is the owner of Ibiza hair which is created the Ibiza Brush which has become an industry phenomenon.
